I bought a Nikon D3000 a week ago.... cost $988 and bought it from courts.... yes is an impulse buy... I actually wanted to wait for another 2 or 3 months... until i have saved the FULL amount.... really.. i was really going to wait...

until that night...

We (Lim and me) went to courts for a walk... you know.. looking at cooking .... stuff... then made a detour to the camera section... and it caught my eye... "0% installment plan..."

Why should i wait for another 2 or 3 months when i have have it now?! And is not like i can't pay $82.33333333333333 per month.... you know... why not?

i know... there are interest and stuff... the whole "0%" thing is a bullshit as it is already counted inside the price.... but is like why should i be broke after getting the camera? right? I am spending 82 dollars per month for a year and not 988 for that month.... ... ain't that bad.... see, after getting the camera, I still have enough money to go diving genting or save a few hundred and get a dry cabinet or some extra lens...

..... heck... give me that camera! I am buying it TODAY.... They threw in a tripod, camera bag, 8GB SD card, a lens cleaning kit and plus a huge kick ass umbrella....

I'm a happy girl.... hoo!

Took a few test shots, and spend 2 days reading the manual...

Then I got shots like these...

yup... you must be wandering why i have my signature at the lower right hand corner of each photo... I am planning to sell them at shutterstock.com..... it is about 0.25USD PER DOWNLOAD...

so if I get 1000 downloads i get 250USD.... not bad right?

and maybe sell them in my website in the near future...

I mean, you never know right...

yup... still working on it... above is a small screen shot of what the index, aka homepage, will look like...

Of course, my pictures are not that great... still a noob....and this is a really good platform to help me improve... and who knows, I might be able to get my first 250USD from shutterstock 6 months later.. (I'm being optimistic here... ) :)

and is better to take pictures with a purpose you know... and not just take and keep them in your hard disk for the next 2 to 3 years... is like a motivational force... coxing me to take more interesting photos...

Lim don't like the beach sea and fish

I always thought my boyfriend likes the sea... How I know??

He says he chooses maritime because it is related to the sea...

He spends at lest 15 to 30 mins looking at fish and corals... And even tell me the names of the fish....

One of his favourite pass time is fishing...

He LOVES to eat fish...

He can name most of the fish and ships he sees

So I thought... Why not let's go diving on his birthday... And I will sponsor his trip... And guess what he says...

"huh...don't want la... I want to try the free one before I decide"

Nice....

If he propose to me I am going to ask him for a free trial before i decide... Further more this is marriage... Not just a simple diving lesson....

I don't get people who says "no offence"... is like they are going to offend people, and they know they are going to offend people just that they are doing it polietly... and hopping that the comment they make is not that offending...

if some one says to me

I will wanna slap that person...

but if that some one says
"eh.. no offence... but your top today very ugly leh..."

I still wanna slap the person... and slap him ten times harder then the first person... why? because he knows that by saying that sentence, it will offend me... and he tells me that he knows that it is offending by saying "hey... no offence"

Seriously... by saying "no offence" does not make that particular comment any less offending...

I gave myself a dateline.... i will launch shisquare.com on May 25.... on my 5 years anniversary with lim... I believe is a pretty lineant dateline...

not only this will serve as a blog, but also design portfolio. so my post will be catagorised into different catgory.... like personal, design, work, tutorials and stuff...

yes tutorials... I will be giving free photoshop, illustrator, php, css, html, flash lessons... but it will be at random... which means if I learn something today... so will you... :)

I suddenly have a burst of ideas....

first portfolio and then my blog... then i am thinking of planning photoshop lessons... having a proper modules and lesson plan where people can download and view the lesson plan... and proly maybe can tick and choose what lessons they will want and thus custom make their lessons.... etc etc... then also prepare notes for them as well.. and have proper teaching setting...

not only that... I am thinking of having a shopping cart as well.. selling away my clothes and other stuff... like un opened make up and hair dye.... and further more, I have some idea on how to use php to create the shopping cart.... hur hur....

a weighing machine!

you know I have been thinking if i should get the weighing machine or not... I scared I will weigh myself everyday.... 3 times a day.... or before and after EVERY meal... believe it or not... I am obsessed with my weight... like totally... that's why I keep delaying the buying of the weighing machine...

eczema cream... sigh~ they are coming back again.... in new and old places on my left feet... this time is weird.... they only return to my left feet... my right feet is fine... hmm.. better not say... might jinx it...

My 2010 pink organiser... Totally handmade by me... : D

It is not finished yet... I need to fashion some kind of button to cover this...

Is the magnetic button on the flap...

And also to write the dates in the pages...

There r 2 side to the book... The glitter face (with pink fur flap) opens the first 6 months of the year...

Then you flip the book to the opp side where it is the pink fur face with glitter flap...
It will open the next 6 months of the year...

The calender is also custom made with special dates...

Then if you open up both side of the book.. It gives you the whole year in accordian style.. Haha

And because it is hand made... There r some imperfections...

But any way I am happy... Haha

Things I need to do this 2 weeks...

Work on the 5 year photo album... have a concept and work out the amount of time and money needed... giving myself 1 year to complete this... ding liang and i will share the cost and the effort in creating this book... :)

actually i am thinking of making it in a rainbow series.... cause i think we might get married 2 years later.... which means we have dated for 7 years... 2010 is 5 years 2011 6 years 2012 is 7 years.... so we can have each colour of the rainbow to signify each year....hmmmmmmmmm..... that is a lot of work... i need to sort the pictures into dates... (which is bloody difficult cause i have editied them and all the picture dates shows last year.... damn... -.-... if not i can make it like a diary styled rainbow coloured book... with the dates on top.... arghhh... and then there will be like 7 different books... which is not practical.. cause 1 of them might get lost... need to think of a way to put them all together into 1 big book... but if i put it into 1 book, it is going to be very bulky...
and.... we haven pass our 6th and 7th year... so it means that I have to fashion the book into something that is refillable... so i can put in the 6 and 7th year when the time comes....

2010 Goals and Wants

Wah... At last.. finished the last steamboat for the Christmas... tomorrow still got one more meeting... I am going to propose to them to change to a coffee session instead.... keep eating like that... so damn sinful....

today's steamboat don't know eat how many tablespoon of butter le lor... but is nice to see them again... must have another gathering... planning to have a Chinese new year gathering with them too... hur hur...

Anyway.. time to plan 2010's goals and wants... hmmm...

Run the full marathon (i ran the half marathon this year... so gonna upgrade... )
finish learning 3 songs in the golden organ book.
master arban euphonium characteristic studies ONE and two... (I have been playing characteristic studies 1 for like almost 2 years.. but i always stop at page 1... never proceed to page two)
Learn driving... (no need to pass ah.. but.. at lest make an effort to go and apply the advance theory.. haha... pretty reluctant to learn la.. really lor... if I have the money to buy a car... might as well take cab right? hmmm... but aiyah.. just learn lo... is a useful skill)
Build my portfolio. digital and hard copy
not dye my hair...
loss 5KG!!
save 3.6k (300 dollars every month)
Do the scrapbook for ding liang and me... (tsk.. actually is only 4 years worth of pictures... now become 5 year... gonna print all out... I am thinking of making it into a book... got 2 week break from work... gonna think about it... :) )

Go overseas once a year... so which means the next overseas trip will be on January 2011.. and should be either taiwan or hongkong... (note to Lim: genting is not counted... :) no pressure... haha)

Prawnning now at jurong east... Damn sian lo.. I think the prawn don't like us... Only caught one for now... Some more is I catch de... So cross fingers and hope more will come... Actually I feel like dipping my hands into the pond and catch them with my own hands instead....

At last... Bangkok trip everything settle le...plane booked... Hotel booked... So much complications... So now when the time come nearer... Me and dl will need to go get a map and plan on how to get to those places via public transport... I am not very sure abt those cabs... And the last time I went Bangkok was abt 12 years ago... Well... I believe both of us will be fine together.. Further more I got compass app in my iPhone...ok la... I think me and liang won't need the campass... Can always ask the locals there...

So exciting lo... Saved so much money for this trip... Going to bring an empty bag there... Mwahaha....

Now time for some self reflaction... I feel proud of myself... Some not very plasent things happened during the weekend...( every time weekend de leh.. So sian lo) anyway... Yeah... I have decided to spend money to heal my pimply face.... so right now i am on medication for my pimples.... and all the zits are popping faster then pop corns i tell you... so depressing la.... Katherine should know how depressed i am... almost everyday complain to her lor...

Anyway... I am going to lift my head high up... I have tahan-ed 7 years of pimpled face.... another 3 to 6 months of pimple break out.... who scared who.... put horse come here.... Hump!

I was telling kat that maybe I should try, stop using foundation and see how.... but... wahhh.... is Ta Mah De difficult lor... how to stop using foundation... especially you are having the worse break out in your life.... (ok la... not the worse....but STILLLLLL) So I am still sourcing out for better foundation... I thinking of getting this..

I haven really try that cause the brush is really VERY prickly.... so i going to get a new loose powder foundation brush.. then try again... I also bought this BB cream from Face shop.... $38 lor... but because there are alot cream medication, if i still put the liquid foundation.... wah... my face will look oilier then a well oiled pan lor... and also i am currently using clinelle's foundation. I have showed the doctor the foundation I am using currently.... she say that the one i am using is fine.... as long as i wash the pad can already... ahhh... see how la see how la... maybe use clinelle finish then say...

but other then foundation... I think i should quit picking on my pimples... but then ah... seriously la... you see so big so white so juciy.... how not to squeeze.... you know every morning... I always say this to myself... "just one... after squeeze finish this one.. then i don't want to squeeze le...." then after that is gone...

then you will go and see other parts of your face... then you will say this to yourself...
"this one should be very fast come out de.... press light light jiu pop out le..."

then after a while.... you found out that you have squeezed like 5 to 7 pimples at one go.... then you will say...

"aiyah.... face already so cui le.... squeeze the rest out also la..."

I ask you la... how to find... So was pretty angry with him ah.... for being so smart.... but now ok le...

cause he went out of his hotel.... and went to starbucks to log on to MSN to chat with me.... and he was shivering at the starbucks lor... 3 degrees.... and strong wind... hoooo... is cold until his ball will shrink down to green pea size... So forgave him....

o... and he mentioned to me that one of his best bud went overseas and bought a ligature... and called him many times and ask if he want to buy it too... cause he say it will help to improve the tone...

HAHAHAHHA so funny la.... ligature can improve tone.. what kind of ligature is that? I also go buy one.... maybe my tone will be better then Richard Png... =x

If things are so easy jiu hao.... i will just buy what Mr Ng is using... and will make me into God of euphonium.... no la... who want Mr Ng de... I should buy Stephen Mead's euphonium and use the same mouth piece he is using.... wah... I will automatically become the world BEST euphonium player...

Common Sense in Life

Do you have friends who don't have much common sense? and everytime you talk to them, you feel like slapping them? Well, here are some tips for those people...

If you are in debt, taking unpaid leave or MC won't help you very much....
If you are breaking up with your short term boyfriend, you will only need to return the ring only if it is made of diamond gold or silver, other then that, throw it away....
When your boss tells you that he is unhappy with you.... he IS unhappy with you.
Never say this sentence....or anything similar to that..."OMG... see that little girl peeing by the road side makes me horny...."
If your parents buy you a car, BE THANKFUL and never complain...
Buying a old model modified sports car does not help you (or your father) save on petrol money...
If you are above 25 and have never worked once in your life, you need to rethink your future...
Never buy clothes that are a few size too small.
Never buy Bras that are a few size too big...
If you have been playing that particular instrument for more than 10 years and still don't know how to play any other scale other then B flat, Please, stop playing....
If you are playing in the band for more than 10 years and still don't know the difference between a Minor Harmonic and a Minor Melodic, stop playing as well...
